Falling In Love with Colors
The vibrant hues of autumn foliage—red, orange, yellow, and green—create a breathtaking spectacle. This is precisely what I envisioned with my “Fall Foliage Treasure” project. My journey commenced in Maryland, where my relatives reside. From there, I embarked on a four-hour drive to New Jersey, where the color change was not as pronounced as I had anticipated, although noticeable. Determined to witness a more extensive display of colors, I visited one of the renowned botanical gardens, “The New Jersey Botanical Garden.” These botanical garden offers a diverse array of colors, not only in the trees but also in the flower beds, gardens, and rose beds, showcasing a vibrant tapestry of blooms. They are meticulously tended by volunteers, who have done an excellent job making the place as majestic as possible.
New Jersey, aptly known as the Garden State, indeed embodies its moniker. I traversed the gardens, surrounded by an assortment of mature roses—pinks, yellows, whites, and a harmonious blend of colors that defy a single classification. Gardenias adorned with their vibrant hues, along with a diverse range of flowers, captivated the attention of bees and butterflies. Statues that were architecturally designed and well-displayed, adorned by the surrounding flowerbeds and landscapes. Trees adorned with the hues I had anticipated, further enhanced the scene. I was captivated by my experience, and there I was and my camera capturing every inch of the serene and majestic landscape. It was an extraordinary experience to immerse myself in nature and feel a profound sense of belonging.
New Jersey is an excellent choice to start with, and I am glad I made this decision.
