New Hampshire: The Granite State
Having returned home, I have yet to compose a written account of the two states I visited during my “Foliage Trip.” I am currently attempting to reestablish my regular routine while reminiscing about the delightful experiences I had while observing the fall foliage.
New Hampshire, affectionately known as the Granite State, derives its name from its historical granite mining industry. This state is renowned for its mountainous terrain and numerous lakes. The “Kancamagus National Scenic Byway” exemplifies this, offering a leisurely opportunity to appreciate its natural beauty. I indulged in capturing photographs at every vantage point I could find. From the Hancock Overlook to the Rocky Gorge Scenic Area and the C.L. Graham Overlook, I savored the vibrant fall colors, the serene nature it provided, and the profound sense of tranquility it instilled. It is truly a remarkable world we inhabit. I believe this is the destination that fulfilled my aspirations for this trip and will undoubtedly be cherished forever.
If you are seeking an exceptional view, this location is an ideal destination. It is particularly renowned for its foliage, which I visited at the end of September when the colors reached their zenith.
It is a long drive but if you are driving with a purpose this is nothing as it gives its rewards.
